media center

On my desktop, i have an integrated ati xpress 1250 chip that has a vga and dvi out. For this school year, i am planning on using it as a media center, but ive had issues with getting the signal to the tv. I bought one of these
but i still haven't gotten it to work. I've tried to get the control center to send a tv signal, but nothing has worked.
Any ideas?

I think whats weird about that converter is it has red and white rca's meaning audio out of vga? Highly doubt it LOL.

Anyways I'd say its the converter, either those rca's are wired up to be composite and the colors are messed up or its just not compatible.

As long as you have the settings correct in control it should work just fine and pretty easily as the converter comes off of the VGA so there shouldn't be too many settings to mess with.

i had been using the s-vid connector, since i couldn't figure any way that the rca plugs are getting audio signal

I have a AGP 8X Radeon all in wonder 8500 with 128mb vram I'll sell for 15$. Has tuner card and cables for tv hookup. never been used.
